Jano, you could also easily post the single "best" photo you have in your "Profile" here. That would be the quickest way to get one of your photos on the site.
Also, we have a "Photo Album" here, and you can upload your photos in the section called "Snakes for Identification." Let us know when you have sent the photos in so a site manager can approve them.
Hope this helps.
Best Regards JohnZ

Jano, thanks for uploading the photo to the Snakes for Identification Section. In the area of Puebla, Mexico, there are 6 rattlesnakes found:
These include Crotalus d. culminatus, Crotalus i. intermedius, Crotalus m. nigrescens, Crotalus polystictus, Crotalus ravus, Crotalus s. salvini, and Crotalus t. triseriatus.
All of the above snakes have strong facial stripes except one, which is Crotalus scutulatus salvini, which is known as the Huamantlan Rattlesnake, which is a sub-species of the well known Mojave Rattlesnake.
Based on the lack of facial striping, and the somewhat blurry pattern in the photo, and your location and evlevation, I believe that the snake in the photo is Crotalus scutulatus salvini.
Mojave Rattlesnakes are known to have some of the most dangerous venom out there. If you have other photos of the snake that show the pattern on the back of the snake better, please post them also.
It is good to hear that you recovered from the bite of the snake.
Best Regards JohnZ

It's Incredible what I have learned about Snakes in the last 4 Days. I've have always loved Snakes, that's the reason I got bitten.
So This Crotalus scutulatus salvini, was a Baby? I've been trying to found a Picture in this site, but I can't find one.
Does Anyone has one?

Jano, the snake you are holding is new born, and only a few days old. The yellow on the end of the tail will fade as the snake gets older.
There is a photo of an darker adult at http://www.venomousreptiles.org/pages/scut_salvini.jpg
Remember that this snake is quite variable in coloration, some are darker like in the photo, and some are lighter like the one you found. Some have light facial striping and some have none at all. New born snakes often look quite a bit different from the adults.
Best Regards JohnZ

Wow! a few days? So being a few days old, makes it less poisonous, more, or the same?
