That cotton at Cameron Park is HUGE! I've seen him on several occasions while visiting the zoo. That's interesting to know that he came from you Tim.

i HAVE A GIANT iRRON\ TOM GREEN ANIMAL THE FARTHES WEST THEY EXIST HE IS A WHOPPING 25 INCHES AND LOOKS MORE LIKE A BLACK COPPERHEAD THAN A COTTONMOUTH FROM FARTHER EAST.

hey archie, i actually saw the monster in johsnon park marble falls, he was swimming across the creek, it was about seven years ago, but to this day has been the biggest cotton i have seen!

I once found near the Okefenokee Swamp one that was between 4 1/2 to 5 foot Florida Cottonmouth in early in the spring on a paved road around 10pm in 50 degree weather.

I was given a very large cottonmouth that was never formally measured. Pay Pawley had long offered $100 for a five footer, and he paid that for this animal. I'd have guessed it to be well over fifty-four inches, and it was quite stout.

I've seen a number of them push the 5 foot mark. Not a six footer yet.
Hell, I'm still waiting on a real 7 foot atrox.

Me and a fiend Ricky tivis found 4 in a den in an old sewer of a old house .these guys were the fattest atrox I had ever saw.One ate a full grown cotton tail we found dead on the road.After it ate it was as big around as my thigh .They were all 5 foot 4 to 5 foot 6 yet they were true giants .In o6 I found a 6 foot plus atrox that was about as big around as my arm.The best part was watching it crawl away,free to be a snake.Oh and the 4 in the sewer had the biggest heads on a rattler I have ever saw.And they were twice as heavy as that 6 foot plus 06 animal.
