Well I couldn't really blame the breeder, the rabbits are mostly raised for show, pets, and human consumption. So it really isn't their fault ( although a couple new pythons would be nice) its not going to happen.
The rabbits were thawed in water with several changes, so I doubt it was residuals in the fur, but I wouldn"t rule it out. Unfortunately we are stuck with about 30# of rabbits that are unsuitable to use.
